The future of the fan experience is digital and sustainable
TSG Hoffenheim and the payment company Unzer are setting a sign of permanence and extending their partnership for the 2024/2025 Bundesliga season. The cooperation will not only be experienced on the pitch, but also off it, where both partners want to get involved in particular with projects in the area of sustainability and women's football.
"We are very pleased to continue our partnership," explains TSG Managing Director Denni Strich. "As a club, it is very important to us not only to inspire our fans on the pitch, but also to keep improving stadium attendance itself. This includes keeping queues at the stall at half-time as short as possible and meeting our visitors' desire for cashless payment."
To this end, Unzer provides mobile cash registers, among other things, so that visitors and fans can pay quickly, securely and cashlessly anywhere in the stadium - whether by credit or debit card, smartwatch or wallet. The so-called POS Go devices combine cash register, card reader, receipt printer and scanner and can be used flexibly anywhere thanks to cloud-based software.

The partnership is not only aimed at digital transformation, but also includes sustainable and social projects, especially in the field of women's football. "We are eager to expand our cooperation beyond conventional perimeter advertising and work together with TSG Hoffenheim in the areas of sustainability and women's football," says Pascal Beij, Chief Commercial Officer at Unzer.
In the coming months, the Bundesliga club and the payment company will jointly consider which sustainable and socially responsible projects they want to support. Max Steiger, Chief Compliance Officer and also responsible for the topics of social affairs, sustainability and corporate governance at Unzer, explains: "At Unzer, we are firmly convinced that our area of responsibility goes beyond business. TSG also uses the charisma of football to convey socially relevant messages. That is what makes this cooperation stand out in a special way."
