Unzer opens new office in Hamburg and expands its unified commerce business

Hamburg, May 20, 2026 – Unzer, a leading European provider of payment and software solutions, has opened its new office in Hamburg. The new location at Georgsplatz replaces the company’s previous office on Frankenstraße and further strengthens Unzer’s growing unified commerce business.

Hamburg has been an important location for Unzer for many years. The company’s terminal business was originally centred here. Today, a large share of the around 100 employees work on unified commerce solutions that combine payment processing and software within one platform. This helps merchants connect online and in-store sales more easily and manage their business more efficiently.

Unified commerce is one of Unzer’s key strategic growth areas and has developed particularly dynamically in recent years. In 2025, the company’s software business grew by more than 35%, while its combined software and payment solutions increased by more than 100%.

The goal is to bring payments, software, and additional services together in one integrated platform. Merchants receive solutions from a single provider – ranging from online and in-store payments to industry-specific software and additional services across the payment journey.

Unzer is now expanding this ecosystem further with its own financial services offering. In March 2026, the company launched Unzer Financial Services – a business account and corporate card solution fully connected to Unzer’s online and in-store payment solutions. Merchants can manage payment flows and financial operations in one place, while revenues from card payments become immediately available in the business account and can be used directly for operational expenses or inventory purchases. With this expansion, Unzer is strengthening its role as a broader financial partner for merchants.
