Bonita optimizes the checkout with a white‑label invoice purchase solution, reduces cart abandonment, and increases acceptance rates — all within its own brand CI.
Since 1969, Bonita has stood for stylish women’s fashion and a uniquely close relationship with its customers — paired with high standards in quality, fit, and service. The brand’s best‑ager target group expects an easy ordering process and trusted payment methods.
To further optimize the online shopping experience, Bonita implemented Unzer’s white‑label invoice purchase: flexible, brand‑aligned, and seamlessly integrated into the customer journey.
Before partnering with Unzer, Bonita faced rising checkout abandonment rates, increasing customer service workload, and noticeable frustration among customers. Opaque processes, limited configuration options with the previous provider, and a customer communication style that did not fit the brand aggravated the situation.
The goal was clear: reduce abandonment, increase acceptance rates, relieve customer service teams, and strengthen the brand experience.Implementation took just four weeks. Stakeholders from e‑commerce, finance/controlling, Bonita’s customer‑service team, integration partner Commdoo (customized payment frontend), and the shop team collaborated on testing and adjustments.
A streamlined, consistent checkout fully aligned with Bonita’s look & feel, while providing clear and reliable processes in the background.
The cooperation and full focus on customer satisfaction among all parties involved led to an optimal result. The reason for changing providers was a significantly high abandonment rate in the purchasing process.

Since go‑live, the white‑label invoice purchase has shown strong results: The dropout rate in the checkout funnel dropped to 12%. With an acceptance rate of over 97%, the Bonita customer proves to be particularly reliable – this ensures stable processes and predictable revenues. Special feature: Unzer has specifically tailored risk management to Bonita customers. Around 8% of invoice-purchase shopping carts are ordered with different billing and shipping addresses – a factor that often leads to lower acceptance rates. Through the intelligent risk management of the Unzer platform, optimized for these constellations, this could be taken into account – with a positive impact on the acceptance rate.
At the same time, customer service costs fell significantly as queries and clarification requests decreased. Customer feedback is also clear: according to a survey, purchase on account is so popular that no alternative payment method is desired. The white label approach preserves the familiar brand experience, increases acceptance, especially among first-time buyers, and strengthens confidence in the entire ordering process. For Bonita, this means a better shopping experience, satisfied customers, and, as a result, trust and brand loyalty—without compromising on tone and brand image.

Bonita offers a completely comfortable shopping experience: intuitive ordering process, large size selection, flexible payment options, shipment tracking, and free returns within 30 days. For any questions, an in-house customer service is available by phone and email.
Customers select their items and add them to the shopping cart. By clicking the "Checkout" button, they go to the overview. After entering personal data as well as billing and shipping addresses, the payment process continues seamlessly in the Bonita checkout – without any channel break or redirect to third-party sites. By default, "Invoice" is preselected as the payment method. During the payment process, Unzer performs a real-time credit check in the background. If the check is positive, the order is processed immediately and customer communication (order confirmation, invoice, shipping information) is initiated.
Our customers are completely satisfied with the purchase on account option as it currently stands. The acceptance rate proves how reliable Bonita's customers are. It is particularly important for target groups who are not so familiar with online shopping to feel secure during the purchasing process.
