The Hannoversche Sportverein 1896 e.V. is partnering up with Unzer, one of Europe’s leading providers of payment and commerce solutions. What makes this partnership so beneficial is that Unzer supports the club not only financially, but also with its know-how in payment. This means that athletes, visitors and the club benefit from fast, efficient and secure payment at competitions and events, when purchasing merchandise and when booking sports facilities.

Unzer empowers businesses to delight their customers with smooth, seamless payment transactions. With Unzer's platform, customers decide how, where and when they want to pay, while clubs can connect their offline and online stores and accept payments both online and on-site.

Sebastian Kramer, CEO of Hannover 96, explains: "Unzer has recognised the potential of our club. For us, this is a sign of trust for a strong long-term partnership. At the same time, working with Unzer offers many starting points for the further development of the club's essential processes."

Sebastian Wenzel, Vice President of Group Marketing at Unzer, is also pleased about the new partnership with Hannover 96: "Companies have a social responsibility. That's why we're committed to sponsoring sport. Hannover 96 stands for great professional football, but also for popular amateur sport and active club work. We particularly like this mixture of top-class sport and social commitment, and we wish the Hannover team all the best.“

The Hannoversche Sportverein von 1896 e.V.'s first project with Unzer was a joint appearance at the ISPO in Munich at the end of November. Very soon afterwards, both sides had developed numerous ideas on how to further expand the strategic partnership. To start with, Unzer will provide several mobile cash registers, which will enable the association to meet the increasing demand for contactless payment. These "POS Go" devices combine cash register, card reader, receipt printer and scanner and are ready to use virtually anywhere thanks to cloud-based software. At the NFC-enabled terminals, customers can pay the way they prefer, for example with a card, smartphone or smartwatch.

Benjamin Kahnt, Director of Marketing and Sponsorship at Hannover 96, sees the partnership with Unzer as a perfect fit: "It's a happy coincidence that the marketing goals of a company and the offering of a club go so well together as in the case with Unzer and Hannover 96."

In the future, the new mobile POS systems will be used in all departments of Hannover 96 e.V., including for ticket sales and for drinks sales at events. Booking sports grounds and buying fan merchandise without cash will also be possible in the near future. The club is thus equipping itself for the future and underlines its commitment to offer all sports enthusiasts fast, secure and contactless payment options.
