New partnership agreed
Unzer is pleased to announce its partnership with the German Golf Association (DGV) as an official payment partner. To support golf clubs with digitalisation, Unzer provides comprehensive payment and accounting solutions.
These include mobile cash registers so that visitors and athletes can pay at all sports venues in the way that suits them best - be it with credit or EC card, via smartwatch or wallet. The so-called POS Go devices combine cash register, card reader, receipt printer and scanner and can be used flexibly everywhere thanks to cloud-based software.
At golf clubs, the terminals are used in particular in the catering trade or the so-called pro shops, so that customers can pay quickly, securely and cashlessly. In addition to equipment and lessons, golfers can also rent clubs, trolleys or golf carts here - and all digitally. "Cumbersome paperwork is now a thing of the past," says Sebastian Wenzel, Head of Marketing at Unzer. The software behind it also provides real-time sales data and also helps golf facilities to control their use of goods and staff.
Golf clubs that have an online shop for equipment, clothing or other items benefit from Unzer's e-commerce payment solutions. Golf courses, tournaments or training sessions can also be booked and paid for online.
However, Unzer's partnership with the DGV goes beyond offering payment solutions. Because Unzer brings technology, data and payment transactions together and helps clubs to automate the billing process and simplify accounting. Robert Bruck, Managing Director of Deutsche Golf Sport GmbH, explains: "Digitalisation in sport is becoming increasingly important. It starts with the reservation of the tee time from the sofa and ends with the card payment in the golf restaurant after the tournament. Unzer offers everything clubs need for this from a single source, in such a way that all systems talk to each other in real time."
In the industry, linking digital and stationary channels in real time is called unified commerce. What is meant by this is that the entire transaction runs through one system without the need to update several systems. This simplifies processes and saves time and costs.
Unzer's unified commerce platform "UnzerOne" brings together sales, payment and marketing activities across different channels and applications in one cloud-based system. In this way, golf clubs can, for example, process membership fees or other recurring payments efficiently and securely. This is an advantage for large clubs in particular. In addition, Unzer's solutions can be integrated into accounting and management software that golf clubs use to manage their finances.
Sebastian Wenzel explains: "Many talk about Unified Commerce, but only a few companies are already fully implementing it. With UnzerOne, we are taking a step in exactly this direction. From the interface to the tax office to data-driven inventory planning to personalised newsletters for members - with just one click, clubs get an enormous range of possibilities that simplify daily club life."
