Full-scope professional support: Tamaris relies on payment partner Unzer
Tamaris is one of the top addresses for women's footwear, clothing and accessories. To ensure that the diverse target group is also offered the necessary freedom of choice when it comes to payment, Tamaris has integrated Unzer payment options into its shop. The two companies have enjoyed great success together – from onboarding, all the way to integration.
As an online shop offering a wide range of shoes, bags and accessories, Tamaris is popular among women from many backgrounds. The brand, which is part of the Wortmann Fashion Group, is growing fast and also has big plans for the future – not only in Germany, but also throughout Europe. For Tobias Hankemeier, Commercial Manager Retail, and Janik Stork, Coordinator eCommerce Operations, one thing was therefore clear: they needed a payment provider that could take care of all processing and support them in implementing their visions. "Each one of our customers is unique, also in terms of how they prefer to pay," comments Hankemeier. Unzer can cater to absolutely all target groups. Alongside general shoppers, these include Best Agers, who like to pay by credit card, and customers from Generation Z, who generally prefer to use digital payment methods. Tamaris was therefore looking for a partner that offered a wide range of payment options and was keenly focused on its own requirements as a merchant, as well as those of its customers.
Unzer provides credit card payments and additional payment types
This is precisely what Tamaris found in Unzer. As a payment specialist, Unzer offers all popular payment types throughout Europe. "Based on our many years of eCommerce experience, we know that purchase decisions are ultimately reached at the checkout. Indeed, anyone that is not offered their favourite payment option here is likely to abandon the purchase altogether. With Unzer, we can offer our customers throughout Europe precisely those payment types that they prefer," explains Hankemeier. Alongside credit card payments, Unzer implemented various additional payment types for the whole of Europe in the Tamaris online shop – such as iDeal in the Netherlands or p24 for Poland.
In good hands right from the outset
The project is not only a success story from a technical perspective. Hankemeier and his colleagues also felt as though they were in good hands from the very first moment with Unzer as payment partner. From onboarding to implementation, Unzer supported Tamaris and made sure everything went smoothly: "We could really rely on Unzer and were already impressed with the support and advice we received during the onboarding process. As we then moved forwards, the combination of a technical contact and our own Key Account Manager also worked perfectly. Unzer kept us up-to-date with the current status of implementation at all times," comments Hankemeier in summary. With Tamaris, a big player in the eCommerce arena is relying on Unzer as payment provider to offer its unique customer base their preferred payment types. In the future, the Wortmann Group wants to intensify the online presence of its other brands such as Marco Tozzi and Jana and is also relying on Unzer as a payment partner for the setup.
