Berlin, 11.10.2024 - The German payment service provider Unzer is the new partner of the Rhein-Neckar Löwen handball team. The cooperation will initially primarily benefit the Löwen fans who shop in the fan store of the two-time German champion and cup winner.
"Thanks to Unzer, the payment options in the fan shop will be expanded in the future, thus enhancing the shopping experience. This partnership allows us to achieve exactly what we generally expect from collaborations: added value for both parties and especially for our fans," says Löwen managing director Holger Bachert.
"We are very pleased about the partnership with the Rhein-Neckar Löwen and see it as an opportunity to accompany the team on its successful path and to make the games an experience for the fans together," says Sebastian Wenzel, Vice President Marketing at Unzer." To ensure that fans can actively support their lions off the field, we also ensure smooth and diverse payment processing in the e-commerce shop."
Unzer is a payment company that offers solutions for electronic payments in online shops, retail stores, and online marketplaces. It employs around 700 people in four countries. One of the eight locations is Heidelberg, which is part of the core region of the Rhein-Neckar Löwen handball club and home to the club's second venue, the SNP Dome. The company serves customers in various sectors, from sports and fashion to travel and hospitality.
