Unzer intensifies its commitment to women's soccer with TSG Hoffenheim
Berlin, March 04, 2024 - The Unzer Group is strengthening its commitment to soccer with TSG Hoffenheim and actively supporting the TSG Hoffenheim women's Bundesliga team on its journey to the DFB Cup. Both TSG Hoffenheim and Unzer are committed to contributing their resources and efforts to initiatives that promote women's soccer and environmental protection.
"We are eager to expand our collaboration beyond conventional advertising presence and work with TSG Hoffenheim in sustainability and women's soccer," says Pascal Beij, Chief Commercial Officer at Unzer.
Unzer joined the SPORT1 movement #FrauenFuerFussball to support the sustainable promotion of diversity, inclusion, and female empowerment in soccer. The movement aims to promote socio-political issues by involving strong partners from business, sport, and culture. The common goal is to support soccer as a unifying element for people of all ages, genders, and cultures.
Stefanie Hohenstatt, Vice President HR at the Unzer Group, says: "We can and should create a culture in which women and men alike have the opportunity to develop and succeed in soccer. We are setting an example that goes far beyond the pitch and can positively impact society as a whole."
The long-standing partnership between TSG Hoffenheim and the payment company Unzer was continued in 2023, and both parties are thus sending a signal of continuity beyond the sporting arena.
